SLEDDING

Sledding is one of the most popular winter activities, with a long tradition in Jezersko. Each season we create a fun-filled 740-meter-long run near Planšarsko Lake for visitors to enjoy. Our carefully prepared slopes are groomed daily, ensuring the highest quality and safety.  The route is suitable for families, groups, and as a motivational event for companies.

After meeting in the parking lot by Planšarsko Lake, we take you close to the top of the run in our comfortable vans, climbing the final few metres on foot. We then prepare the sleds and headlights – if you are enjoying some night sledding with us – and send you on your way for the fun-filled ride down.

Tickets can be purchased online, see the Book Now tab or by calling 031 203 930.

What sledding looks like?

From the assembly point (for details on the location, see below), take the vans to the start of our groomed sledding trail. We will then walk the last few meters before the start, enjoying the beautiful view of Jezersko and the surrounding peaks, as we set off on our descent into the valley. At the start of the course you will be given one of our high quality sleds; There are one and two-seater sleds available for children, families, couples in love and those who want more adrenaline. Before the descent, the instructor informs you about the rules of sledding and behaviour on the track. We also provide headlamps for anyone who decides to go night sledding.

PRICE: EUR 18 per person, VAT included  , price includes 3 rides to the top of the track , rental of quality sports sleds that allow easy operation, instructions for safe sledding by our instructor and a headlamp in case of night sledding After the last descent, we return to the assembly point with our vans.

RESERVATION and PURCHASE OF THE TICKET

The sledding period must be booked and paid in advance via the online system ( Book Now tab ) or by calling the telephone number 031 203 930. We usually sled from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m, with groups changing every 2 hours. There are 15 vacancies in each time-slot, and more for closed group bookings. Evenings and weekends are usually booked up well in advance, so buy quickly. Please be aware that we cannot accept card payment once you arrive.  If you are unable to pay in advance then you will need to remember cash for in-person payment on the day.

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT

Sports footwear or winter boots with a high ankle profile, for example hiking boots. The use of snowshoes or ‘skibucks’ without a profile and foot grip are not suitable for this activity. Waterproof jacket and pants, gloves, hats and thermal leggings will help you to have a comfortable ride. The use of unobstructed ski goggles and a helmet are also recommended.

DIFFICULTY, ADDITIONAL OFFERS AND INFO

DIFFICULTY OF THE TRACK The trail is especially suitable for children and adults who want safe, fun sledding and no prior experience is necessary. Children aged 5 to 8 are advised to sled together with an adult. However, the route is not suitable for children under 5 years of age – for this age group we recommend the free mini toboggan runs at the Kropivnik and Šenk farms. Sledding is not recommended for those with previous injuries to the back, joints and during pregnancy.

ADDITIONAL Experiences Of course, there is no better way to end your sledding experience than with a glass of mulled wine and something warm to eat. At the finish line, you will find our warm and welcoming bar where we offer drinks and snacks. We also recommend a visit to one of the lake inns, where a glass of mulled wine and excellent food will conjure up a great sledding end, or spice up your business seminar or team building.

ADDITIONAL NOTICES CAUTION: Access to the toboggan run by car or on foot is not permitted. The use of your own sled is also not allowed. We rent sleds individually on the condition that you do not use them on our tubing range and toboggan run. The track is closed during the operation of the snow plow and access to the machine area is prohibited. Driving on the track after regular maintenance causes the greatest damage, so we ask you not to try to sled on your own. Unfortunately, we will be forced to report unauthorized access to the route to the police.

INFORMATION You will receive the most up-to-date information on the condition and tidiness of the toboggan run under the news in the Announcements and Notices section on the first page. For additional information you can write to us at info@park-jezersko.si or call us on the mobile number 031 203 930.
